Project: Neighborhood Food Innovation Project
The Neighborhood Food Innovation Project (NFI) will create direct linkages between urban food production and low-income households in outer SE Portland. As a result of NFI, these households will have access to high quality healthy food and food education, and an empowered sense of community involvement. NFI project components include the development of an urban low-income CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), serving 70 households, a community garden serving 50 families and community education on cooking on a budget and gardening.
