Betties360

Project: Betties360 Spring Term Program

About:

Betties360 serves underprivileged middle school girls of low economic status and diverse ethnic backgrounds. Up to 36 girls will participate in our weekly after school program, building self-confidence and awareness through recreation and sports.

Childhaven

Project: Childhaven Continuum of Care Model

Year: 2017 Grant Amount: $20,000 Location: Seattle, WA
About:

We served 364 children ages 0-5 who were either at-risk or victims of child abuse and neglect, and 403 of their caregivers in 2016-2017. We expect to double the number of children served in the next five years.  Funds from Lamb Foundation will help Childhaven implement a Continuum of Care model to strategically change the way Childhaven administers trauma-informed treatment programs to underserved children and families.



Eastern Oregon Regional Theatre

Project: EORT General Operating Support: Provides access to live theatre for all ages in rural communities in eastern Oregon and SE Washington.

Family Building Blocks

Project: Therapeutic Playgrounds

Year: 2017 Grant Amount: $15,000 Location: Salem, OR
About:

The playground is considered an extension of the therapeutic classroom and stimulates young brains and helps develop fine and large motor skills. This project will serve children considered at high-risk for child abuse and neglect in Marion County.

   



Family Nurturing Center

Project: Phoenix Satellite Playground Project

Year: 2017 Grant Amount: $15,000 Location: Medford, OR
About:

Grant allows completion of the extended outdoor classroom and building the natural playscape. This project serves  children at high risk of abuse and neglect and provides an extension of the therapeutic classroom.



Four Rivers Cultural Center

Project: Four Rivers Children's Community Theatre

Year: 2017 Grant Amount: $10,000 Location: Ontario, OR
About:

Provides the only free and low cost live theatre in this area. Our productions fill kids with hope and realization that life has more possibilities than imagined.  This grant was used to support the Holiday production of Elf, Jr, the musical:



Friends of Explorer Post 58

Project: Teen Outreach Program

Year: 2017 Grant Amount: $10,000 Location: Portland, OR
About:

Connects Portland area teenagers with challenging outdoor and wilderness adventures to include a much broader demographic of students. The grant will make financial assistance available to broaden diversity and scope of the organization to an estimated 20-30 students who otherwise might not be able to participate.

  

 

 



Harney County Arts in Education

Project: unrestricted

Year: 2017 Grant Amount: $3,000 Location: Hines, OR
About:

May be used to make a library of suitable plays available to the Harney County high schools; Burns and Crane; Silvies Valley Charter School and the upper division students in our rural schools to encourage theatre performance, or as need is greatest.



Heart of Oregon Corps

Project: Post-Secondary Education Success Initiative

Year: 2017 Grant Amount: $10,000 Location: Bend, OR
About:

This initiative will expose and prepare 60 students from Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson Counties to educational opportunities beyond high school. 46% of the youth will be first generation college enrollees.

 



Homeless Youth Law Clinic

Project: The p:ear legal project

Year: 2017 Grant Amount: $12,000 Location: Portland, OR
About:

Provides community legal services ranging from advice, brief service and litigation, impacting fifty 14-25 year-old youth at p:ear. P:ear serves youth who are homeless, or at risk of experiencing homelessness.



Janus Youth Programs, Inc.

Project: Sex Trafficking and Outreach Grant for Southwest Washington

Year: 2017 Grant Amount: $12,000 Location: Portland, OR and Clark County WA
About:

Grant funds from Lamb Foundation will be used to implement the first Clark County sex trafficking services via education, outreach, case management. Fifteen youth will have case management, 200 youth contacted through outreach, 1,000 youth at risk of trafficking will receive information.



Maslow Project

Project: New Client Database

Year: 2017 Grant Amount: $15,000 Location: Medford, OR
About:

This database will improve efficiently tracking client progress. The database will enable staff to spend more time working directly with clients with a trauma-informed approach. This project affects 2,300 youth and families.



Oregon East Symphony

Project: Playing For Keeps youth programming

Year: 2017 Grant Amount: $15,000 Location: Pendleton, OR
About:

Gives students, from 4th grade through high school, access to the opportunity to play music through various education programs, instrument lending and performances.

 



Oregon Food Bank

Project: Food and programs for children and families

Year: 2017 Grant Amount: $5,000 Location: Portland, OR
About:

Provides necessary food and food-related programming for low-income children and families, who might otherwise go without.



p:ear

Project: Wilderness Recreation

Year: 2017 Grant Amount: $8,000 Location: Portland, OR
About:

p:ear’s recreation program makes physical activity fun, safe and accessible, in both urban and wilderness settings, to Portland’s homeless youth. Two hundred and fifty-six youth participate in p:ear’s 44 outdoor trips annually. These experiences are often life changing.  Funds from this grant will provide the necessary gear for homeless young people to safely experience wilderness recreation.
